@Bharat Chaudhary the data rate which is not completely visible, I guess is set to 2,048 if so then ask mtnl to increase your down data rate to support 8mbps speed

and did you checked your plan from selfcare portal ? it usually takes a month for the new plan to be effective

Bro its set to 2048 i will ask them to increase it and yes i will ask them to increase.

And my SNR& attenuation is it fine?

@Bharat Chaudhary if there is no noise in the line its fine, i am not familiar with yours' modem interface type

your line in capped to support upto 2mbps only 1024*2 it should be 1024*8+ now

hi,

i cant find anything on increasing data rate and i called aunties many times one of them said they informed exchange and speed will increase but when no idea?

Search! The mtnl 8 mbps thread has a lot of info. The number to be called is 12524 I think.

Request them to increase data rate as you're on 8 mbps. If you've finished your pro rated fup, then you'll get full speed from next month only.

Problem resolved they have not updated from there back end. Frequent calls to 1504 and luckily found knowledgeable aunty who updated my line rate thru some calls.

what did u tell the aunty ? i am from delhi and even my stats are 2048/512 and speed is slow...

Yes i m on 8 mbps plan, now they have increased my data rate to 8140 kbps
And i am getting speed of 6.8 to 7 mbps.
