Jio may launch FWA device at 20% discount

So charging 2000 security deposit instead of 2500 is worth a pr release?
 
Jio AirFiber is coming with an external outdoor unit right? Which runs Cat6 cable to the router? Or is it just like airtel, only indoor unit?
 
I’d have liked if they came with both options ie outdoor and indoor models. But majority would prefer an all in one indoor unit for ease of use and installation I guess.

@MrGordon they are gonna install a small sized rectangle shape antenna outside your house and in indoor they will be providing that router which they were promoting while product announcement with a proper outdoor antenna youll probably get a stable connection and speed compared to all in one unit
 
I'd give Jio AirFiber(with external unit) a try if they offer affordable plans. Might end up using it as a backup/failover to my airtel fiber connection. Both Airtel and Jio 5G signals are very good in my area.
Airtel AirFiber seems to be a very expensive deal as of now that too for a 100 Mbps plan. I hope Jio comes up with some lucrative trial offer like the one in Jio Fiber.

Can't believe this video has over a million views. The device shown in the video is not Airfiber but the jio wifi-6 mesh extender. Jio Mesh He has carefully edited the speedtest segment where he does speedtest using mobile data. Setting up the extender from Jio Home app and connecting to existing Jio Fiber connection and saying it's airfiber, this guy has managed to fool many people. What a sh*t show.
