Hi guys I am a JioFiber user based in Kolkata. In my whole state the local cable operators are cutting down Jio Fiber wires and they have the support of the local government. The local gov is saying that Jio does not have the permission to lay overhead wires from pole to pole. My question is whether users in other states facing the same problem in JioFiber or Airtel Xstream ?

Jio has permission to lay down fibers on poles as well as underground fiber.LCOs have good local polition's support, but JIO has Mudi Ji's support. Your Jio Fiber management will figure out something. Believe it or not, fiber cutting by LCOs had been a painful concern when Jio and Airtel were deploying in small towns, but now situation is a lot better.

its mainly prominent in West Bengal due to presence of SITI and alliance broadband and many others in Patna also railwire and maurya broadband [ a major in patna] used to cut airtel fibers but soon most of railwire lco took charge of airtel due to loss of customers and they sorted it out slowly.

AirFiber has its own limitations, so definately can not replace wired broadband. Forget about AirFiber, here I am sitting next to the router and on 5Ghz, and not able to get even comparable performance to ethernet wired.

Have started facing this in Salt Lake, Kolkata area since the last 4 days. Everytime Jio's linemen come and fix it, it works over night and then early in the morning some LCO guy tampers with the Distribution box. I don't know what to do. I will not give the LCO Goons the benefit of satisfaction on single cent by opting for their piece of trash. Hope Jio can end up doing something. Would have moved AirFiber if only they didn't make you pay for 6 months and had the rubbish 1TB FUP.
