I'd say the season four got off to a good enough start to whet the appetite. Raylan and Boyd are 2 great characters and they get well-written dialogues to speak. Sample these:Boyd: Poison? Why, you don't know your scripture. He makes wine that gladdens the hearts of man... psalms 104. And what are our goods but modern-day wine, albeit in a pill form?Colton: Do you kill people?Boyd: People have been killed.Earlier, Hiram says that he can't make hide nor hair of the way Boyd says things. In the end, he died because of the way Boyd told his friend Colton Rhodes to take care of Hiram. Boyd was obviously messing with Colton when he said he only meant to cut Hiram lose. After all, it was a dry run.It seems there won't be any big baddies like Mags or Quarles this season. Instead, there is a season long mystery which is based on the real life event called "The Bluegrass Conspiracy." (the parachutist with bricks of coke who crashes to death in the first scene.)Preacher Billy is holding a rattlesnake just like how Limehouse was showing off his cleaver in the last season. As per Chekhov's gun rule, the snake is going to bite someone in the near future.
