Over the years I've used nearly all major password managers out there. Both paid and free source, some with current subs and some lifetime.
If you want open source I heartily recommend Bitwarden which i have been using since 2017 along with majors like LP,
Dashlane and 1Password. For $10/year BW is a great deal. And the free version syncs across multiple devices like LP used to do before they changed their policies last year.
LP is my fav but its a hacker magnet and their parent company isn't exactly known for being straightforward.
I use Sticky Password Enpass and KeepassXC (cumbersome but its open source like BW) on and off for local syncs. With about over 900 items in my PM I really cannot afford to lose anything or see the PM company winding up. I'd be jacked if that happened.
@ngrhd please stop believing any system connected to the internet is hacker proof, even the CIA and other intelligence agencies' plus corporate IT systems and have been hacked at some point or the other. All it takes is one stupid person in the Org to download something fishy or fall for a phishing scam and then it begins. See what happened to Twilio Authy. It made me move into other 2FA apps, Aegis on
android and 2FAs/Raivo on iOS. yes the data is encrypted and backed up locally and in the cloud. I'll stop using Authy, my 2FA for years, once i am sure I have no data missing in the other apps.
