LG and HTC Smartphone Comparison and Which One to BUY?

Hi Guys,
Please see following phone specifications.

LG
KS20 GSM Mobile Phone- Slim Smart Phone with Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 6.0 from LG India
Price - 16,990 but in HomeTown, they are offerring at only 12,000
(3G, Dual Camera, 1GB MicroSD Card Supplied, Earphones, Mobile Case and more)


HTC
HTC - Products - HTC Touch Viva - Specification
Price - 18,000 but in HomeTown, they are offering at only 14,000
(No 3G, No Memory Card Supplied, No Earphones Supplied, No Mobile Case Supplied)

I am not willing to compromise at quality (just for the sake of some free goodies that comes up with LG) - Please suggest what is the best to go for?

LG KS20 or HTC Touch Viva (My budget is only up to 14 to 15k).

Go for HTC Touch.. am using HTC touch from last 1 year and trust me.. Till now no poblem with the phone.. It looks great.. But am actually amazed why are they not giving any stuffs with the phone.. I had got 1GB card and ear phones with it.. Had paid 16,500 in April 2008.

me using KS20 since last 8 month.Got in Aug 08 for 19.5k.PROS-Superb phone, didnt give me much trouble; compatible with all softwares of windows mobile 6; 256k colour display vs 56k of htc; camera with autofocus(best camera I have ever used, better than n73's cam), very sensitive touchscreen with perfect tap feedback.CONS-low ringer volume, battery drains very fast, 1 common port for charger and handsfree.I recommend you to go 4 this phone, HTC low end phones are using wm5 so if u compare with HTC, LG ks20 is best!

^ Who told you all HTC low end phones use WM5 ? And you can easily upgrade to WM 6.5 on any HTC phone , im not sure about LG

oh ok.. you may be talking about HTC TouchFlo and I am talking about HTC VIVA (the link i have posted above, is HTC VIVA). They offer it at 13,650 Rs. - Package contains no such extra things. (only a phone, charger, usb cable for charger, data and user manual thats it - no earphone and no other stuff).

KS20 - i too like it (because they shown me both the phones by switching them ON - usually these days people dont do this but in HomeTown they did when i asked them to do so - that's the great + for them). i like LG-KS20 too, and its no more WM5, now it has windows M 6 version but i saw other reviews on internet that people say that it slows down after a period of time, ringer vol is too slow and even while talking (in/out calling), the voice comes in and goes out - very slow as well. it has 3G, dual cam and comes with lots of goodies (as i mentioned above in 1st post) at even price lesser than HTC VIVA.

I am in favour of QUALITY, period. I know HTC is a power pack phone and nothing comes in between their range to compete (but at the same time, others too are going on in market - LG, SAMSUNG, Nokia - they are not dead players, they are also doing well) so i am just trying to figure out by going through people's experience. I am with HTC as well.

What is a final conclusion? HTC VIVA or LG KS20 (or even any other BRANDED mobile if you know which comes below 15k and with excellent QUALITY)?

What i deadly want -

Windows OS
Wi-Fi (and so as of course bluetooth)
Touch Screen (and must have virtual keyboard on screen)

That's all.

I am also getting a good deal on Asus P527 (comes with lifetime GPS free, lots of goodies at only 13k) but i saw the reviews on net that its a kind of terrible phone which runs damn slow even if we add few apps. So i strictly dont wanna go with it.

i m pretty sure abt LG since I've upgraded my phone to 6.1.

Htc 3450,3452, viva and below diamond touch are all using wm5, which sucks in many aspects.

If u consider build quality then LG is much superior since china cant b better than korea.

Thanks yar but i already read reviews on GSMArena. They are almost positive but they too mention that the LG-KS20's speed sucks and for me, speed is too a big factor.

Well I would prefer buying a phone, and that too a touch screen from a company which deals into touch screen and its there there main ISP.. I don't trust LG when it comes to phones..

Yes, that's a point. If it comes to a TV, there is just 1 player and that's Sony.So, when it comes to a touch screen, we better take from the masters.

well some guyz who never want to take a challenge, always follow what others follow.
This is like I'll buy Nokia phone because my neighbour owns it/nokia is no.1 mobile comapny in asia, or I want a car because everyone in my office has a car.

Well I have managed to take some screen shots from my KS20, hope this will clear d bad image of LG into touch screen mobiles, like piyush believes.

Some softwares are inbuilt like psnote(typing recognition and paintbrush app), wmplayer, fmradio, solitaire, etc.
3rd party apps includes spb mobile shell, sbsh calender, pop hd, football 2009 hd and opera.
