Check the review from AnandTech if they have done one. Forming your opinion upon one single unit is probably not the right thing to do. I would prefer reading a technical analysis of the display done by a proper source like AT.

Anandtech reviews are so dry and lifeless. But they are thorough and go deep into technicalities. So they have best credibility on the internet.

I myself using G2 with G3 ROM. Works perfect.
