Yet to receive any email. LinkedIn doesn't allow anybody to view profile's email, isn't this a leak of some sort?

IIRC there is a setting to allow your profile to be visible to public or only members? Or am I mistaken for Facebook

Yes you can even restrict it to only connections etc as well
