i recently got a free utstarcom wireless modem with bsnl iptv connection. i have set the wifi ip config on my laptop to 192.168.1.2 (my desktop uses 192.168.1.10). problem is, i can't connect my mobile phone to wireless internet. since i cannot change ip config of the phone wireless, i was thinking if i could somehow change the modem settings to detect ip automatically it might work. Any ideas how to do that? Note-if i change wifi settings on laptop to detect ip automatically, it doesn't connect. I just want a settoing so that i can easily connect everything-my desktop, laptop, mobile phone. i don't need any security i want to keep the wifi open

In your modem enable DHCP give range 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.15
( usually in Advanced LAN page settings )
If UPnP option is available enable it.
Presume you are on PPP/PPPoE "Always On" mode
( userid and PW stored in router wan page)
In your laptop tcp/ip properties select obtain Ip address automatically.
Check the "Sticky" my thread for WA 3002-G4 in this forum.
Some security advisable for wifi networks.
