Local isp providing 300Mbps for 700 should I switch from BSNL

I have been using BSNL ftth since 2 years through LCO. The service is quite ok and there has been some downtime no longer then 4 hours.
I am on 999+18%gst=1180/month 150Mbps(2000GB FUP)
This plan provided Hotstar, sonyliv, zee5, voot, lionsgate which I rarely use.
Now a local guy bought some bandwidth from airtel and rest of the speeds are peered and giving 300Mbps for 700/m without any gst.
So, the question is should I change to the local or will I have to suffer in long time. Any suggestions from someone who has used such local isp for cheaper/faster plans?

Yes, they do oversell and the bad thing is we don't know how much they oversell. But I am ok if I will get 300 Mbps peered speed all the time.
Can someone explain how these isp gets limited bandwidth from tier 1 isp but able to provide good peering speed over the same circuit.

Peering and internet bandwidth are two separate things.
Peering is not that costly and saves bandwidth for heavy usage like Netflix, Youtube etc

Local ISPs get 1Gbps internet bandwidth and 10Gbps or more peering and that helps in running hundreds of users easily on limited public bandwidth
