Yep they kind of reverted to older keyboard key switch tech but don't admit it

Command key of my friend's MacBook has stopped working, and Apple has quoted about 25k to change the keyboard.

Why 25k? Because if they open it and changing that specific key doesn't fix it the entire keyboard will have to be changed.

Dropped niece's MacBook on the floor when I tripped over the charging cable earlier today. Tense moments. There was some damage to body but display survived so well that's nice. I am thankful magsafe has come back. Hopefully on all models?

@Samuel, they have over 40 rivets holding the keyboard. So what they do is swap the whole palm rest area.
