sat in the friend's xuv today. loved it overall. mapmyindia sucks if you are too used to google maps. it seems to have very limited places.

the touchscreen panel is of course hard to use if you are used to an android tablet. resistive display i believe.

the car however rocks. comfortable. features are pretty amazing for the price tag. i would have purchased it if my friend had not!

umm actually mapmyindia is way better than google maps..they must be using an old version.

I too was considering buying one but IMO its better not to buy this version, already the problems being reported are notchy gearshift and unreliable electricals, also very cheap plastics..i am sure the second version/generation that they bring out is gonna improve on these issues and also address any future problems that crop up for this model. Its never a good idea to be a launch customer of a new vehicle.

Not to take anything away from Mahindra though..hats off to them for launching a feature-rich SUV in an affordable price range.

well the voice navigation and everything else is nice of course. but the database was disappointing. it did not have galleria in its database which is a pretty popular spot in gurgaon. the software interface is of course vintage stuff. i had rather have an android powered in-car entertainment system. probably would have to wait for a couple of years for that i guess. i really hope google turns on voice navigation for india. i have a car dock now in my car and it is pretty useless for me right now. waze is fine but very buggy.

update is ........he did not get allotment in actual draw....but with some adjustments....if u know what i mean.:sneakiness:

a friend of mine got his in december. i have driven it. i liked it. though there are too many buttons on the top end model. and the touchscreen is resistive from what i noticed. painfully annoying to use while driving.
