Dude we guys live in the same area and I am facing the exact issue as you. I am too at my wits end as you.
I am too frustrated. Tried contacting Reliance and Airtel but they wont come to our area.
Just now rebooted the router thrice. Powered off powered on once.
These are stats from my router.

@Panzer008
I have asked the MTNL people to check almost everything,
I have 2 MTNL routers, one wired and the other wireless, both giving me the same issues.
Should I try a new/different router?
Anyway I have requested the Reliance guy to come over, although he was a bit too enthusiastic (a bit worrying).
Will be going for the Thunder699 plan, let's see what happens.
Else my only other option would be Airtel 3g, with which I am pretty satisfied.
@Atul
totally empathize with you, the situation is pretty pathetic.

Wow! Are you able to get Reliance, because I tried and a guy came to my place to look then said sorry we wont be albe to provide you the internet. Said something about reliance cables are not in my area.

This is called mtnl rain problem. It will go away when rains go away.
Try using a 3G(MTNL bcz its cheaper ) as a backup.

Nopes, facing this issue since dec-jan.

Tried Reliance Although the guy was pretty enthusiastic in the start, once I gave the cheque it was a dramatic turn around!Everyday I kept asking him when the connection would be established and everyday he would say by 5-6 pm, I repeatedly and patiently asked him to be honest and that I would not mind if there were a delay, just give me an accurate date...But after 5 days of the same thing I had to cancel the payment and the connection.He came with the cable and everything today after I informed him about the cancellation, but I could not go into that routine again if I had any problems with the connection...I genuinely felt sorry for the guy, if only he would not try to deceive me repeatedly...Anyway, back to square one, looking at in cable, dunno what will they make me go through....
