Only 89 lakh Rs spent. (harldy 15 lakh per MLA)
Definitely cheap and affordable price.
Saving lots of government money.
Good initiative taken.

i guess they decided it was too expensive to watch the matches on their own resources.

Goa Government Cancels World Cup 'Study Tour' of Six MLAs to Brazil - NDTV

The Goa government has cancelled a controversial Rs. 89-lakh junket by six legislators to Brazil at the end of this month to watch the FIFA World Cup, reports Press Trust of India.
The six MLAs had earlier said that they would pay for the "study tour" that received muck flak from the Opposition.
"We will bear the cost ourselves. We have realized we should not take tax payers' money for this," said Goa Fisheries Minister Avertano Furtado, one of the six politicians who will travel to Brazil on what the state government has called a "study tour."

Did BJP miss the trick? I was expecting that in news it will projected that Namo called Goa CM and asked to withdraw the sponsorship.
A good thing though that it was not shown so.

LOL. Now who did drama and u-turn?!
How is tht a u turn and drama? There was a controversy .. CM accepted the mistake and cancelled the trip .. So now u see a govt which accepts its mistake and make amends ..
They r not one who will run away from responsibilities ..
Just keep following Kejriwal if u wanna see real drama and uturns ..

Yep good idea. First declare something to be done using tax payer's money. Later accept it as mistake. And prove that you are responsible person who does not run away from responsibility.
Here their intention was to use tax payer's money for their personal trips in name of "study tour".
Kejriwal atleast gave tax payer's money back to public by reducing electricity price, subsidised water. i.e. money came from people and used for benefit of people.
