most of the business accounts that have blocked me on twitter is because of quote tweets. most recent one was trakt. fuckers went down for like a week. lost user data. website came back up but app was still down because app used api and api was down. i posted a sarcastic quote tweet. and i was blocked. it was not an abusive tweet. but of course, some companies cannot really handle criticism like others. ended up deleting my account. and now tracking tv shows become messy because there is nothing comparable to trakt online.

i am fine with what mastodon has. sometimes i do want to share a toot with my own commentary but i do that just with a link. it does not show the content of the toot like twitter does. which adds friction. which is good in most cases. opt-in would be fine i suppose. i would just have to stop myself from quoting toots.

pinafore has always been a sad mess for me. hopefully this reaches some level of stability. elk is already becoming a crowd favorite though i seem to like this better.
