very funny! Most of the developed countries around the world are equipped with Wifi from ages and are present almnost everywhere from home to cafe ,offices everywhere..If this was true then wifi woudnt exist in earth by now..I think the site u pointed out needs some traffic so they created a rather sensational topic to attract users..well, if u had posted this link on the India TV or IBN 7 website..they would have surely telecasted this news/:P
 
well the problem is that the current generation is the first one to live in such an environment.the health issues would not be clear for another couple of years. same is the problem with mobile networks and hundreds of other waves that are sorrounding us...wifi is nothing. we have cellular signals, dth signals, wireless signals, fm signals, worldspace signals. :)

its costs nothing to shift from wifi to wired especially at home where wifi in many cases is a gimmick than necessity.

convenience is very important too.

sushubh here is the summary of 2000+ reports on microwaves as on aug 2007 The BioInitiative Report. the kind of signals of radio and tv are different, they are not pulsing where as microwaves cause a lot of damage.

and really isnt this like passive smoking? why should someone else be bathed in the wifi signals of his neighbours when he doesnt want microwaves in his home??

and those who say why it hasnt been banned well most parents are raising a hue and cry and getting school wide wifi shut in many parts of europe and UK. you read about it in the article given in the 1st post of this topic

sushubh the impact on our generation will probably come in later but it did make me think if we could see the impact on other species which have a much smaller lifespan than us.

There is a tamil proverb - Even amrit if consumed beyond a critical level becomes poison. Too much of anything is bad. The solution is to have a variety - food, leisure, technology and what not, but everything in small doses. Of course we have to change our Lifestyle, workstyle, funstyle to do this.
