I was looking to buy mi 360 camera, i just wanted to know if anyone has tried to store the video feed in their google drive account with this camera i.e. will this work with mi 360.
From what I read, it is not possible. I wish I am wrong. I wanted to store the live feed somewhere outside home (in the cloud or in the remote SFTP server, etc). Anyway, it was released only yesterday. So, I don't think anyone would have got any experience using this device, except some v/bloggers who got it much earlier to test drive it. Ex: Source
. I ordered it too. But, estimated delivery date is "coming Tuesday"! Ordered via Amazon, though. It is being shipping from Haryana. My house is on the other end of India.
Ordered via flipkart and it will be coming on Monday although via Amazon i am getting one day delivery but got a discount with hdfc card on flipkart. Got it for ₹2429
That's a good deal, @mayank yadav . I don't have HDFC card. I don't have SBI, either, to get 10% discount on Amazon. But, got a different cash back a few days ago in Amazon (loading 3k with Amazon Pay would get 10% immediate cash back). So, I had 3.3k in my account. I ordered both the camera and Samsung EVO Plus Grade 3, Class 10 64GB Micro SD card (that was / is on offer). The SD card has reached me. But, not the camera.
@anant.del I never owned xiaomi products in the past. I heard about the ads, though. Also, the app for camera seems to require almost all the permissions on the mobile. I am just curious on how it all works out. If the camera is good (for its price), then nothing else matters. I can have a dedicated second-hand cheap mobile just for its app.
It has been a pain to get it paired with the Mi Home app. Initially, I could set it up after trying for about 30 minutes at home. Then, I kept it idle and unplugged for close to 14 days. I took it to my workplace and reset the camera and tried to pair again. This time, it didn't budge. Might take it to the nearest service center to see if they can do anything.
For those who are planning to buy... please be aware that only a limited numbers are affected by this unusual bug / malfunction. Those who bought it recently do not seem to have this issue. Even I was able to pair it once. Just the second time, it didn't work. The sound quality from the speakers aren't good, though. The picture quality is also just average. The test pictures shown in the product page are probably taken with artificial lighting conditions. So, don't expect the same quality inside a house where the lighting isn't as good as artificial lighting.
Yes, the app is pathetic. This is my first product from xiaomi. Also my first camera. Not a bad experience. But, I could've had a better experience if I opted for Yi or camera from other brands.
