It basically runs vanilla ICS with a few Micromax apps preinstalled. If you do a factory reset on the device even those apps will be deleted. Then its just plain vanilla ICS. Micromax doesn't put in an effort to customize the Android UI on their devices like other manufacturers do. I guess it helps keep their costs down.
Unless we root and remove /system apps... whatever we do will not remove pre-installed apps. Those apps are not in user area instead it is in *System* area which will not be removed via factory reset. And Micromax heavily customize the UI and launcher. I do have A52 which I find very difficult to navigate after using my Galaxy Nexus.

My dad purchased this phone today. I have been playing it for around 2 hours now and it does look pretty good.The build quality is SUPERB and the design is extremely good too. Resembles quite a lot to the Galaxy S2.The AMOLED display is fantastic, multi-tasking is also pretty good till now. The loudspeaker volume is not up to the mark, similar to the Galaxy Note, it's not too loud but the playback on headphones is very good. AISHA works pretty well too, it recognizes the words correctly and quickly but the replies are disappointing.For example, I asked 'When was Sachin Tendulkar born' and I got a reply saying that he was born in 1973. The exact date was not given.Then I asked 'Who is Rahul Dravid', it recognized the words correctly but the reply was a huge paragraph on philosophy of life!!!The camera is also nice. I haven't taken many pics yet but from my little experience so far, the pictures are pretty good. Haven't tested micro focussing yet.And due to the AMOLED display, it's viewing angles are fantastic. The display is as good as any high-end device.Overall, it's a pretty solid device for this price. Highly impressed. I love stock ICS UI and so it doesn't disappoint there either.

Too bad Micromax doesnt have too much money and Apple probably knows it (If at all it cares). Otherwise Micromax would have been sued for "cloning" the "clone"
