So why would anyone make Windows Phone phones if it does not come loaded with features that Apple and Google are offering on their devices out of the box?
I am just saying that some Nokia features would only be available with Nokia WP. Similarly Samsung, HTC would also have their own exclusive features on their WP. On my Omnia W (WP7.8), it had call blocking, All Share, 3G Video Calling and some more apps by Samsung which were not available on Lumia. Similarly HTC has Beats Audio on HTC WP.
Micromax and Karbonn would also come loaded with lots of Indian apps on their WP when they launch WP handsets
Microsoft offering exclusive apps on their own phones (after they acquire Nokia) would put them in a strange position with respect to their partners.
Microsoft is not acquiring Nokia so it's not even close to what Google did with Motorola. They are taking over their mobile division. Unless they spin it off as a separate company, it is pretty much like Microsoft manufacturing their own WP phones offering exclusive apps.
Yes, I get it about Here. Here is still a Nokia property but they would no longer be a smartphone company.
I think so. Microsoft is just taking over the mobile division. They also licensed Here platform. Music and other apps/services remain with Nokia from what I understand.
