Yes, you can port your number but I'm unsure whether you'll be able to use the same handset or not. Ask CC.

Friend, which handset you are currently using on reliance? Then I will tell you whether it is possible or not. If the model number of handset contains the term "RD" you can not use it in another networks. "RD" represents network locked for Reliance CDMA. Now a days there a large number of OMH CDMA handsets are available (OMH-Open market Handset). You can use any CDMA sim in this handset for voice and data, can port your number to any CDMA network any time you are interested. Samsung guru B559 is a good OMH handset lowest in price and available for Rs. below 2000/-. In OMH handsets there will be a OMH gem logo. You should use OMH CDMA sim in this handsets to get data, OMH CDMA sim is also marked with gem logo. For details about this handset please see this link http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/24167-samsung-guru-559/page__st__30 To see OMH sim please see this link The Most Awaited Mobile Number Portability Finally Introduced! - Reliance Mobile (CDMA & GSM) - Discussion Forums - Page 20 To see OMH logo please see this link http://wiki.cdg.org/w/images/f/f4/OMH_Logo_Guidelines.pdf

^ RD2130 will not support operators other than Reliance CDMA. Better get one of those OMH handsets.
