:| operators cannot block tethering on your phone if you purchased an unlocked model from the retail market.at best they can monitor their usage and decide if your are tethering your connection or not. and i do not think any indian mobile operator is currently doing that. indian market does not have 3G mobile plans that specifically block tethering like in the USA (AT&T).

I hope by the time they launch Dual SIM version, someone else purchases single SIM version and confirms :D

I am not talking abt operators.. I am talking abt Motorola, they might block it

Something similar to what Nokia did in their mobiles in N-series ..they blocked internet on mobile via PC. (a reverse thing). Some guy later on developed a crack called gnubox.

Sameway, motorola may block a feature or two just to make sure their higher priced mobile also sell.

Another question, will I be able to update android? Say if Android 2.4 if it launches? Or will I have to depend on motorola to release it?

I feel like contacting Motorola for inquiring. Why isnt model still displayed on their website. Its strange.
