Movies Now HD Channel Launched

I spoke to marketing dept. of Movies now office in Mumbai and they told me that all DTH companies will get this channel by end of Feb'11 or early March'11. They also said the delay is not because of any DTH companies.

Well actually, when it comes to Times of India Group or Bennett Coleman and Co, they claim to be the best within their own publications. They should change their slogan from 'Let Truth Prevail' to 'Let Only Our Brands prevail and to hell with Truth' . Everything is rigged in their publications. Bombay Times has paid / sponsored news articles. So the entire Bombay Times, is nothing but paid PR by Times of India. Sadly no one reports this under the Monopoly and Restrictive Trade Practices act.

Frankly, HBO (Time Warner), Star Movies (20th Century Fox Library), Sony Pix (Columbia Tristar), MGM (Metro Goldwyn Mayer) are more powerful channels since they own vast movie libraries and exclusive Hollywood content. It's only a matter of time before these channels beam their HD signals to India. These channels have much deeper pockets than the Times of India Group and won't give up so easily.

It's a case similar to CNBC TV 18, Bloomberg UTV, NDTV Profit all claiming to be No. 1 (through different sources and polls or stats).

...I can see some action other than watching those monkeys and apes on those two HD channels which are available on TS HD right now.

I love the Hotels and Travel/Holiday shows on DiscoveryHD. But yes, they should show some variety instead of repeating the animals and fishes at prime time.

And the ORBIT (one hour) stupid program that is being aired on Discovery HD these days. Absolute wastage of time.

Hey Avid, who cares about this race. I dont care if Movies Now is on top in term of viewership or not

My post was directed towards those members who keep harping about certain channel being on top of the charts - particularly after reading newspaper reports.

Movies Now on Dish True HD... Chk there website... also they hav added 30 HD channels it seems...
Happy for it though for every player in the market now will be in the compulsion of adding these channels...

Guys any update on the estimated launch date of Movies Now on TataSkyI think it's high time we all should start pestering the TS people with repeated emails and phone calls insisting them to launch the channel SOON.
