MTNL 3G in Sikkim BSNL 3G

Hii,Has anyone used MTNL 3G Data card in Gangtok Sikkim, I am not sure if it will work with BSNL 3G there and if it work there will be roaming charges for data.MTNL support as usual is not sure about it.Thanks for your time.

If you have 3G BSNL network in the area you are going, there is strong chance that 3G MTNL data will work. Make sure that you have enabled data roaming in your phone

There is no need to activate data roaming.I have used MTNL 2G GPRS roaming without any activation.I think same shud be true for 3G because I dont see any such message on MTNL site which states that data roaming shud be enabled.

Enabling Data roaming setting on phone is what I meant. Nothing to do with operator. Most phones these days come with this setting as a precaution.
