I agree with Sandeep. MTNL should be asked to give a valid explanation for the abnormal difference in tariff plans in Delhi and Mumbai.

RTI Complaint & Appeal

U can lodge a complaint free here and get a reply as per the law.
Problem is when i tried to submit i got error on page when i hit the submit button
and when i emailed site admins i kept getting bounced around

I don't think this matter can have legal recourse. Every telecom operator whether fixed line, mobile or internet isp is charging whatever they think they can get away with. That is why they have a different tariff for different circles. Let us not break our heads on legal remedy to fix this.One post suggested writing to newspapers. I think that would be the most effective solution. Keep bringing this info before the public and it nullifies all the advertising that MTNL does.Make it a PR nightmare for them. The Mumbaikar has been stung by terror attacks and is ready to stand up for the rights of Mumbaikars. Keep pushing this issue as a discrimination against Mumbaikars. MTNL will jolly well have to come down from their high horse.I have already started writing but so far my letters have not been published. Please flood the nespapers with such protest letters and they will feel it is an issue that affects enough readers to pursue with MTNL also.
