Dear MTNL Email Users,

If you have received any mail like 'MTNL is going to transfer mtnl.net.in mailbox to a new System', kindly don't reply to such mails because these mails are False, Fraudulent Emails,which have come to the MTNL Email users asking them to provide some personal information like
1.User ID:
2.Password:
3.Date of birth: etc.

This is to bring to the notice of all MTNL Email users that MTNL has "NOT ASKED FOR ANY SUCH INFORMATION" and all MTNL users are hereby alerted not to respond to such Fraudulent Emails asking personal information.

Has anyone taken one of these plans from MTNL recently? (Mumbai)I recently took one of these plans and paid Rs. 500 over the counter, after which I was billed Rs. 700 as activation charges (broken down to 200 + 500) on the first bill.Just wanted to verify if this is the norm these days, any replies appreciated.

What's stopping them to upto 4 Mbps.the top most plan of rs 2000 with 4 Mbps will make a worthy competitor to Airtel.

I am on 'Xpress Combo Unlimited 600' for the last 2 months.

the top most plan of rs 2000 with 4 Mbps will make a worthy competitor to Airtel.

Their infrastructure cannot bear loads of 4 mbps. People will start complaining of disconnections, slow speeds and what not.

When world is increasing speeds in multiples of MBs, MTNL is incrementing speeds in KBs.

A maintenance activity is planned in the broadband network of Prabhadevi ISP Datacenter on 27/06/2012 from 05:00 Hrs onwards.

There may be transient service interruption for 2 Hrs between 05:00 Hrs to 07:00 Hrs on 27/06/2012 for the Triband users.
