MTNL broadband speed High to low??

On 599 combo plan the speed offered is 256kbps….so the download speed expected is around 40-45 kBps but many of my friends claim to get download speed of 230-235 kBps on torrent downloads for the first 4-5 months but after that speed comes down to actual level….so is it that in order to lure customers they provide higher speeds initially and then bring it down??

on 256Kbps means you will get speed upto32KBps theoretical actual speed upto 28 KBps, down also depends upon how far from Exchange and line condition how good it is:whistle MTNL CAP speeds

Yes, that would happen only if you have changed from a 2Mbps line recently down to 256 kbps until the people at MTNL realise they have to reduce your speed
