MTNL Cust Support - Pleasant Surprise for a change ?

mtnl is very unpredictable. sometimes things take a long time and you have to really keep bugging them to get the job done. but there are also times when they do it pretty fast. :D
 
I too got the plan change done in less than 24 hours.
Yes I think we should write letters of appreciation. But I would wait till I get my first bill and then do it.

Oh surely. I'm not a big downloader. Just about couple of gigs usually per month. And my pacenet broadband connection is on till this weekend so am not using MTNL much. But will surely keep the MTNL sessions printouts ready just in case !!!

How has your speed been since the change of plan?
You might be better off with the DSL599 plan. You get 2.5 GB at max speed and save 350 bucks plus tax.
If you think 2.5 GB is borderline you could even consider the 5GB plan.
 
so far only mumbai guys have posted...are they changing the plans within a single day in delhi as well?
 
Even I want to change my plan so i called up the MTNL people and they said that i have to wait for the 1st month bill. So i wanted to ask is it true that i can't change my plan right away? Its already been a month and the bill is about to come though. And how long will it take for them to change it normally?
 
Well well . . .looking at the responses so far it seems we guys in Mumbai maybe little bit better off in terms of MTNL customer support. No wonder considering MTNL is still charging us bit of premium on triband services :P.
 
horrible customer supporti applied for a plan change on 23d jan and like others got a confirmation call (to confirm whether i had indeed applied for a plan change) quite immediately. I was also told that i would get a call when the plan would change.Unfortunately did not get tht call till td 24th feb. I kept calling the customer care twice a week to enquire abt why the plan was not changed... the answers varied frm.... plan has changed... work order nikal gaya hai... woh mtnl ka site pe plan change nahi dikhayega par plan change ho gaya hai... to ... call so and so accounts officer... call so and so general manager triband... to... wait fr the next month... shayad change ho jayega...The most pathetic ppl on earth (or cud be some other alien planet) work at MTNL customer care... they DO NOT deserve a letter of appreciation for a one in million (raised to infinity ) case of doing what they are paid to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lets see if my plan changes in march/.. or else same proceudre...
 
^^ Dude, just write an email to CMD of MTNL - [email protected]
Once, i had a problem with ethernet cable and i was just pissed off with their CC support.
Then i wrote an e-mail one day to CMD to see if it works or not and voila! the next day some MTNL guys came to my house and changed my modem with a new one!!

Now whenever i register a new complaint they do it immediately! :rofl:
 
Seems like I'm kinda lucky guy. No issues with January 09 bill (15 days on TRIB200 and rest on 256 Unlimited). Now I'm gonna write to MTNL for sure and thank them. :thumb:
