So it's been four months since I got mtnl. I had Airtel before which was really expensive. To do some cost cutting I shifted to MTNL.
Currently my plan is Freedom1999 which gives 8mbps till 80gb.
Pros:
1) I get good speeds every time without any drops. I get about 7.8mbps which is fine for a 8mbps line.
2) MTNL just doesn't reduce my speed after I cross the fup limit. Which is weird but also exciting. I use about 120gigs (including down and up) every month and browse at 8mbps the full time.
3) I got a free static IP which is one of the good ping ips.
4) Cheap af
5) Initially you will have disconnections and other proboems; contact a senior officer and get everything redone (including rewiring). Now from the past 2 months after rewiring (exchange to home) I see no drops and no disconnections.
6) Their call center has really improved from what it was 5years back.
Cons:
1)Initial setup is really tedious and if you don't call them 100 times they won't rewire. But once thats done you should not face any problems
2) Some times YouTube does lag (Not while buffering but in initializing the video) Using a VPN fixed this.
