@d5aqoëp in my modems page
there is a option of dhcp lease time which 43200 seconds (12 hrs)
should i change it to 23 hours?

I think DHCP leases are set up from MTNL server. MTNL may be playing with lease timings.

I was reading up few posts between 2 dudes sanke1 and kickass. I even tried to contact by clicking on profile but nothing happens? Apparently they helped few guys to switch to SOTL. All the throttling, timeouts and disconnections are because of the misconfigured New Alcatel server. Something to do with burst speeds throttling.

@x720 i did try to change the connection from mtnl to tikona, but they couldn't install the equipment so i had to take mtnl again :/
there is no other broadband provider here like airtel , reliance :(
I am also wondering why the hell they are not changing the port, is it a very big deal for them ?
Btw last time i went to exchange to change my port they told no SOTL server here Only alcatel and Ericsson -.-
@d5aqoëp i also do face that speed throttling issues and because of this many times page doesnt even open , i have to reload the page two / three times.
my ip starts from 59.xxx which server i am on?
is it alcatel or erricsion or old alcatel?

@LookingForInternetPlans i think you should consider some other isp like airtel , reliance is giving many issues to users, you can read many threads in reliance broadband section.
I would love to, but Airtel is expensive as shit, and their FUP is pathetic.

How do people manage to survive with a 30 GB limit per month on a 16 Mbps internet connection? Isn't it obvious that if you have faster internet, you will be consuming more content, because of less waiting times?

I might as well stick to MTNL, harass their customer service each time the internet goes down.
