It has come out of beta and is now the main website.

Looks much professional and easy to navigate. MTNL has woken up. :)

Only one suggestion to MTNL: Stop using marquee and scrolling items on website.

I really hope they have done enough to secure their Joomla installation. I have no idea how secure Joomla! 1.5 is but if there are some flaws, it makes this website an easy target (as compared to static ones in the past).

First of all getting the website in hindi. Secondly website is not opening up properly even though i have tested on 2 different connections and 3 different browsers

They have kept the default admin login.

I have never been convinced about Joomla. And the MTNL website is using Joomla 1.5 which is nearly 2 years old if not more whereas Joomla 1.7 is the current release. Koi jaan pehchaan wale bande ko diya hoga obviously rather than some professionals.

Just joking. :P Overall the design is ok and the designer has done alright. But not sure why he used such an old version of Joomla. Another good thing is the website load speed. Normally I hate Joomla due to the website load speed but it seems quite optimized and the load speed is very good indeed for a Joomla site. BTW why dont they get some custom coded website. I am quite sure they would be shelling out several lakhs at least and they can get a very good custom coded website in that cost.
