hey guys akki here!
after messing around a hell lot with the bitcomet, utorrent settingd i came to a conclusion tht all the myths circulating around the websites tht bitcomet isnt kool enough to b used is just a foolish thought!!! i am on a 2mbps mtnl connection and i have been getting minimum 230kbps speed speed inbotcomet tht too using only 1 tracker!!!
i have set the download and upload limit. just have a look at the screenshot. i even manage to get 242kbps constant for like 2 minutes but cudnt take the screenshot!!!
try the settings and c if it works for u guys. it did work for some of my friends!!!

This is the 0.94 version and the listening port(WAN) the green symbol next to the DHT connected node sign shows as UNKNOWN in the 0.96! atleast for me so i prefer using 0.94!!!

one more thing...BitComet somehow shows a bloated speed...that's my personal experience...it used to show me getting ~50 kBps on my 256 kbps line...also 240 kBps is not even 2 mbps, how can it be 3.6 mbps???

i always ended up downloading much more than the actual download size when using bitcomet. also many private trackers would ban you for using bitcomet.

lol i care a dam abt the DU meter results as long as the the speed is proper!!! i download a 700 mb is max 1hr 5 min!!! so .... and as for sanke1, may be a noob when it comes to comp but big enough to press some BOOBs, if want some pracs lemme know!!!

hi akkiplz tell me what settings u made to get such good speeds....i m also using bitcomet but not able to get such good speeds....i don't know abt private trackers... but i use link-removed.com to search for torrents and then download using them... is there any better option???earlier i was using 0.96 version but it shows yellow light for the nat connection don't knw y??? how can i correct it???now i have downloaded 0.94 ver. will it help.... and it was also having plugin file with it.. what is its use???plz help....thanx in advnchasta la vista

Cant we just stop calling people newbs on this forum so that people dont respond in an inappropriate manner. OT : Bitcomet is said to be one of the faster torrent client there coz it makes a hell lota of connections with other peers at a very fast rate. you can do the same with azureus and utorrent.

With Bitcomet, I used to end up downloading almost 800-850 MB for a 700MB movie... Although speeds were good, I never preferred it for this reason...

BitComet eats more memory than utorrent and, dunno why, never gives me a good no of seed connections. Ktorrent is the best!
