^ but how come they are doing that. i mean its really strange for them to give pop3 access to free .co.in accounts and not on .com accounts. i suppose it should have been the other way round. :Sanyways doesnt matter to me. dont like using pop3. still theres no harm in creating a new .co.in account

well i dont use pop3 as well.. but i created account for sis and 1-2 friends and realised they have got pop3. anyway i dont care anyway.

Does anyone know how to configure MTNL email id in Thunderbird. I have done it but i get this error "Sending of username did not succeed. Mail server pop.mtnl.net.in responded. Invalid base64 string"
