It's been happening from Jan 07 for me @ the Prabhadevi exchange :angry: Complaining seems to be of no use. Sending emails even to the GM is like water of a ducks back.

SNR is Signal to Noise Ration. Higher the better i.e( denominator 'Noise' should be as less as possible)And ideally, Attenuation should be as less as possible (it indicates the signal weakness)

Whats the Average/bare Max and Min for SNR and Attenuation that we should have to stay connected?

SNR shud be above 10 to have stable connectionAttenuation shud be lesser than 50Actually these factors play more prominent role when ure on speeds as high as 8 mbps and above

But mera connection to 2 Mbps mein hi mar gaya. Right now frequency of disconnection is 5-10 mins. That's the maximum duration of a session.

Yes. I was also bogged down by frequent disconnections for a couple of days and was thinking of replacing my modem. however, this post really helped me in identifying which modulation works best for me and the results were also supporting this fact.
