I am more than happy with my present connectionbut I would like the following 2 things as mentioned earlier by Venkz"upload speeds should be synced to atleast 1mbpsand modem rent of 80 bucks charged should be stopped for those clients who have been using it for more than 2 years"

increase the download limits by about 8 times. no seriously, 1 GB a month? gone are the days when 1 hour of surfing = 5 MB, now its more like 15-20 MB. the new BSNL plans with 8 mpbs speeds and 12 GB download limits at 2000 a month should be a good indicator. also more reasonable upload speeds (though, this would be pretty far down on my wish list).

1) Instead of router reboot for NU they should keep a track of downloads during 00:00 - 8:00 am themselves. Reboot is painful and risky :-(2) Router rent of 80/- should be waived after an year/ or provide an option of buying the router from MTNL during installation (like BSNL)3) Increase the upload speeds4) Better helpdesk

Atleast 256Kbps upto 2Mbps *Night Unlimited* should not have any Download Cap during the day. In other word it should be changed to Unlimited Connection

better helpdesk & dialling 1504, u should get some response ...... usage check should b available @ end of every MONTH ..... rentals should b waved off 4 old users .........

Hehehe... just thought of a new service... MTNL should have a toll free number which has IVR system... and one of the mandatory facilities should be getting the usage details... as MTNL's servers are down every month from 20th onwards!!!

I think mtnl Delhi listened in way by giving unlimited combo plans ..... it's the mumbai walle who are deaf ... time to spam there mail box! Guys plz post important ppl email id of mtnl Mumbai guys!!

So ... now we have a good deal of thoughts on 'required service'. Would some good soul, summarize and then we can send it to TRAI and ofcourse, MTNL, BSNL, etc. Publicity can be given to the print media, which is often talking about broadband. If we persever, we get heard. Lets go for this. This new year, the GoI is going to give strong push for broadband and its time we told them what is needed as opposed to what they want to give. Best wishes.
