mtnl wifi not working on ipod touch 2g ?

i connect my ipod touch with the wireless network . it establishes the network and i get signal bar on top. but if i use the net it says not connected to the network. when i go in the connection settings nothin had been aquired the address dhcp and all that ( i dont know all the terms). they are all blank. what should i do

Man, we need to get those pages on the India Broadband Wiki. The same queries pop up again and again.

do you know how to login to the modem? after which look under DHCP or LAN , you should see DHCP server , just select ENABLE

dhcp is already enabled. something else is wrong i guess. any other suggestions
