My jio router only has a single black cable attached to it other than the adapter.

After watching jio fiber installation videos on youtube I realized that my jio router only has a black cable attached to it (Other than the adapter) there is no yellow cable and also I don't have this secondary device. Internet plan is 30mbps, I do plan on upgrading to 100mbps later.

I have same setup with black cable only. I am on 150 Mbps plan for last 1 year without any issues.

Thanks for the response, so I am not losing out on anything (Better latency, speed consistency, etc) without that box right?

Only black cable means he didn't install patch cord in between, It wouldn't make a difference but when you claim refund, they will ask for patch cord that's the only issue.

I also have the same setup. When I asked about this, the installer said that this is better as there is less signal loss than having the white box installed.
