my quest for a beam connection.!! O.O

update..its with a heavy heart i type these words.....when i came home from college...there was a fiber wire passing through ventilator into my house.....was very happy...called that guy and said bro..anm at house whole evening...can u come and connect the computer..?! he said in one hour two persons will come.....

but...rain god didnt think so....full on rain....after one hour rains still didnt stop....so he called and said tomorrow morning...!! :( :( i was hoping to do night out tonite after gettin beam....but no worries..can do it tomorrow also... :))

^^ 1. if you got any SMS from beam (regarding payment and ticket registration)2. And the wire has cat5 connectors fitted.That implies your account is already created.Call up the XX272727 & ask them to give you password (username will be the email you provided)you may get that in 1-2 minute, if you lucky enough to get, plug the cable & set LAN card to Automatic IP mode .. that it when you open browser & ht any website you wil be redirected to beam portal for user-name & password. .. and you are done :) else wait for the morning. :)
 
actually me and my dad are fed up of ISPs........tata photon + (for which i received a bill of 8000rs...yea..i didnt knew abt internet then and assumed its unlimited downloads..) then local cablewallah...then tikona...and after that dad got fed up got a bsnl connection..crappy 256kbps.....so while installing beam...it was 1000rs installation charges and 1000rs(my plan cost)..so dad gave 1000rs first while filling up the form and said that once those guys come and install the net.....u check the speed and if AND only if its working fine..u give them rest 1000rs :P :P


and yea..the fiber wire in my house rite nw doesnt have that connector thing which u plug it to lan card....

Strange.
i will welcome some more people, who are elder user of beam, to comment on this.
you might be on older infrastructure.
 
Stange I have never seen that 24online client here with my Beam connection My IP is in the range 183.83.xx.xxx
