Project Manager Mimi Aung answers #AskNASA questions about NASA's newly named Mars helicopter -- Ingenuity. Ingenuity will be the first aircraft to attempt powered flight on another planet. The helicopter is traveling to Mars attached to the belly of NASA's Perseverance rover in the summer of 2020. It will land on the Red Planet February 18, 2021.
