highly unlikely that they will block that port. They generally will block first 1024 ports. May be they have started blocking protocols which sucks big time! But you can try reconfiguring it to use a different port and double check your configurations!

Max, I tried some other ports in the range 60000-63000 still the same thing. What more I disabled the NAT on DSL-502T (Shows disabled in STATUS), no respite.I did a fresh reinstallation of Win98. No help.Need to contact MTNL, I think there is something fishy going on. There 1504 number never works. Have any number where we can talk to a "TECH"?.Anybody else facing this issue in Delhi.

Make sure u give access to all ports to the file 'C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin\javaw.exe' thru ur firewall.

Firstly am in Delhi, and facing no such port blocking issues. Do one thing. Press the reset button on the back of the router using a pin (it's adjacent to the adapter socket). Now configure ur modem to use bridge-mode from scratch manually(don't use the load settings from a file option) and follow all the instructions (remember to note down the ones specific to u before u reset the router). Now check if u still have the problem....

Thanks for the responses. All this while I was using the bridge mode and no FIREWALL. Connecting using PPPoE connection in XP and 98.waterloo_sunset, I did try ur suggestion earlier. Finally I was able to get a workaround.I followed the article "https://broadband.forum/index.php?showtopic=1750&st=0&p=16350&#entry16350" by bad_till_bones.Thats strange as I also did disable the NAT earlier, its still disabled.Guess Port Forwarding is not related to NAT eh.One more thing I was not able to add the settings to the applied settings under Virtual server. Whenever I tried to move it to the right. It just refreshed the page.I think the Inbound filters did the trick.Back to the happy :D Thanks Guys
