when this happens even OpenDNS,MTNL DNS or others wont pingDamn pain, when u need to get online fast, get connected,Torents work, but sites are inaccessible

^^^I agree pinging to Open Dns/MTNL dns also does not work when this happens................It actually becomes frustrating and CC does not have a clue, they just give u a docket number, thats it.........Only Gateway can be pinged at such downtimes, seems to be an issue with their Gateway I suppose.............

There are two separate problems, both DO NOT occur frequently or even daily. Both occur even if ADSL is stable and without any break.1) After connecting, internet does not start immediately.a) Most of times it starts working in a minute.b) Sometimes it takes 5 minsc) Once every 2days it does not work even after waiting for 10minsSolution is to disconnect and reconnect, wait upto 5mins, if it does not work, repeat. I have noticed that it works after maximum 2 tries.Once it starts working no problem occurs.2) Second problem is that internet STOPS working completely, without ADSL light going down. Even MTNL gateway does not ping.Solution to this is to keep LCP ping count to 2 or 3 and your OS will detect this and disconnect and reconnect on its own.

Same story today between 9.22 & 947 am in Mumbai (Prabhadevi exchange). Bloody thing goes down when u need it the most.:madness: Again the same sad state of affairs around 1200 hrs to 1300hrs AND then between1616 hrs & 1649 hrs Guys pls give your opinion to [email protected] with your experiences. (Mumbaikars have a look @ today's TOI for the article 'Speedbreaks on Broadband'. Even their own bloody homepage does come on. This problem can happen intermittently or can take many hours to resolve itself. Frankly using this connection has now become unpredictable & even dangerous for doing internet banking or online trading on the stock market.
