This seems to be similar to what Tikona is providing in my area. A similar device is installed on a terrace which picks up signal from their 'tower' (that's what they said). The power to this device goes via PoE (Power Over Ethernet) adapter that's connected to a power supply at one's home.

No idea. I just saw them installing a connection at friend's place.
The setup above described look like Wimax.

Tikona is good though at least my experience was good for about 11 months I guess..I didn't get FUPed
but Harassment post disconnection is a common concern of Tikona users
