Need info on Wireless access point

guys,Pls provide me your kind suggestion on below inquiry. Need to buy a Wireless access point for my D-Link Router, can someone suggest me a wireles access point which can give me a distance range of 400 meters I have dlink GLB-502T ADSL router ThanksWaiting for your advice and suggestions

400 meters almost 1200 feet distance not possible. without
antenna boosters etc.
Try with your cordless telephone and try
paging your base unit ( if 2.4 Ghz unit better) If successful ,
give feedback. Usually WIFI router have a range of radius 30 feet .
Buffalo units with higher power may increase the range.
Height/location/obstructions etc may make a difference.
setup : telephone modem glb502T== WIFI router == laptops

well most routers "theoritically" support 400 metres OUTDOOR.. so it all depends.. if possible test it out with somebody else's wifi router first..
