My question still stands..is it EVDO based plan or just normal CDMA 2000 based plans ??
you can activate EVDO manually procedure is given on mobile data section. If there is EVDO it will run on EVDO else 1X

So I've bought a SIM,and its a regular SIM,and she said that I need to make a call to a number tomorrow morning..and she said that the no. to which I had to make the call would be SMSed to me..
Does anyone know which no I should make a call to get it activated ??
also what to do to get EVDO activated..because right now it only shows 1X signal..

1. Call *228 for OTAF.
2. If it says, "Sorry, your phone could not be activated", wait for a while. Try again after 2-3 hours.
3. Once OTAF is successful call 59059 and do the usual televerification.
4. It does possible that even after successful OTAF, you'll get an engaged tone or the message, "Please call CC to resume service", once again wait for a while and then try 59059.
5. Once successfully verified, make your first call.
6. Post that, send the following message to 55333 to get EVDO:
That's the long and short of RCDMA activation. Enjoy

She said that the card is activated(including EVDO)..but since I had to discard the original SIM,as I needed a NANO one,she told me to call "a number that would be sent" to me in the morning..
So the above procedure remains same ??

Never mind..the SIM seems to be activated..I did the *228 thing..but when dialing 59059 it says "please check your number"
And for the EVDO activation,again it says incorrect request entered.
And when trying to save an APN for data,nothing happens..
I guess this is why people didn't want to buy CDMA connection ??[emoji44]
