Nehru Place

@waterloo_sunsetYeah, I know about the crowd, bought my pen drive from there.1) Do they sell all parts of a PC i.e. can I assemble my whole PC from there?2) If they do, is it safe to buy a whole PC from there? 3) Do they assemble the PC for you, and install all the required software over there itself?4) Do they provide transport for the PC?5) How do I avail the after-sale service/warranty?

1) Yes, unless u want somethin specific like cooler master, zalman stuff for which u can head to SMC International.2) It's always preferable to buy all ur stuff from one place. That way u won't need to run around all over NP incase somethin goes wrong. Computer Empire fits the bill perfectly in that respect. They actually provide proper after sales support unlike the others. 3) Yes and no. 4) No, but they have helpers who'll carry the stuff for u till ur car/auto whatever.5) Take the faulty hardware along with the invoice to their Service Centre: 201, Meghdoot building, 94, Nehru PlaceEDIT: Grr, i keep forgetting things. Be there at 11 a.m. if u wanna make things easier for urself. And they have people sitting in 205, Meghdoot Bldng to advise ppl on hardware and drawing up a config depending on what's available.

Ok, thanks for the advice. But what about software? Is that my responsibility? They don't even show to you if your computer is working or not?

i am sure that they would boot up the computer and let the NO OS Present error message displayed to show that the computer is ready for an OS install...that's where we take our new machines.

exactly. MS Office is like 2 minutes away from their shops ;) I mean Microsoft's Office Building. Not the MS Office application ;)

^ back in the day someone told me that the most funny thing was that XP was released (pirated) in NP 2 weeks before MS' own official launch in India!!

India was not a crucial market for MS at that time. Things are different now. My Hardware guy in gurgaon was raided. And he now only offers legal OS installation with new machines.
