Looks like mine has gone bad enough to make the phone unusuable on outstation trips.


I actually had to keep the phone in airplane mode to be able to use it when I actually needed it

Blue line is wifi,screen and awake, as he was traveling i guessed that his wifi was off and gnex cannot have a screen time of 8 hours on single charge so the only blue line left was awake, so i said that his phone isn't sleeping
Hmm.. Anywhere I can get to read about this?

So it indicates that WiFi is on which in my case is always on. That's why a full line.

wifi, awake or even screen, if your wifi is off and your was screen on then the blue line will show screen, if your screen and wifi both are both off and even after that you see the blue line then your phone was awake

Generally to investigate wakes I do a alarms dump to a text file . it gives in depth info.

So I finally ordered a new battery for this phone from a seller on eBay... I hope it works. Did not go for the cheapest option (around Rs. 600). Ordered one that cost Rs. 1100 Samsung Service Center quoted the price at Rs. 2000. What a mess. The other option was ShopClues lol.

I think you did a good thing. My old battery was completely dead and the cheapest option I got for 600 is not charging more than 75%. I purchased it 10 days back and it is totally worthless. Please let me know how it goes for you. I will try to order another one based on your comments.
