New Channels getting Added on Videocon D2H DTH

Are you sure of the capacity bro?any reference?Because normally the capacity is half that.

D2H is currently transmitting around 225 SD channels(excluding the diff audio feed for channels like discovery etc and 20 Radio channels) and 12 HD channels using 6 transponders. Just calculate how much channels are there in one TP.

If one TP accommodates 12 HD channels then 225 SD/5=45 SD channels. It may increase by 1 or 2 channels/TP because I didn't include Radio channels. May be radio channels doesn't need that much space compared to an SD channel.

Mascot...I think u can keep updating us on the schedules of these people. If the schedules arent met, then i dont think u can be blamed! Its the provider who is acting so unprofessionally. Atleast we can have new hopes daily!

Thanks buddy. Hope the news of channel addition come true for tonight. BTW whenever I wait for channel addition in midnight it never happens. So tonight I will scan the TP today only after someone else check and confirms addition on forum.

Hahaha! Some people have that habit. There are few of my friends, who never check their Exam results on their own, thinking that if they check, they will fail! And there are some who think opposite of that! Btw i was told by the engineer that there is no issue in DVR, and we will be able to see the channels when they are added, despite the fact that they are on a new Satellite, new TPs.

Seriously yaar, since last 2 days I am waiting and scanning but channels are not adding. Previously also I waited for Colors HD & Zee TV HD but they gt added on daytime inspite of midnight.So, No waiting for chocolating today

Yes, as per recent data available across internet, this seems correct data.

HD can be one less and 4 in case of SD bt nt less than that.

Will provide source soon. Presently anything nt on paper anywhere.

11Hd and 40 SD is great.I hope it is true,i dont want to hear from D2H,ki space nahi hai.....As they are also nt going to any more TPs in next year and half or so.

Yes bro, You may be right. I don't think after this TP increase, they are going to enhance anything more in next 3-4 years atleast.

Only Tata Sky and Sun Direct are relying in Indian Satellites.

Videocon is using ST (SingTel), Reliance is using Mesat and Airtel is depending upon SES satellites.

Although ST2 is having 41 Ku Band Transponder but it depends upon Videocon, how many Satellite they hire for services. Presently they had hired only 4 with dual polarity i.e 8 TPs.
