New Channels getting Added on Videocon D2H DTH

Only Tata Sky and Sun Direct are relying in Indian Satellites.

Videocon is using ST (SingTel), Reliance is using Mesat and Airtel is depending upon SES satellites.

Although ST2 is having 41 Ku Band Transponder but it depends upon Videocon, how many Satellite they hire for services. Presently they had hired only 4 with dual polarity i.e 8 TPs.

Ok so they can get extra TPs on ST 2.Also hear they will share a TP with TS.

Sharing TP with TS is something which I call as rumor . TS is waiting for GSAT8 which will be launched in Q2. So, its too early to speculate whether d2h had made a deal with ISRO regarding TP in GSAT8.

By the way aren't d2h moving all the channels to ST2? Then 6 of the 8 TPs on ST2 will be used up for the current transmitting channels. Then of the 2 TPs that are left 1 will be used for 12 HD channels and the other one for around 45 SD channels. After that won't they start to feel the space crunch again?

Yes , they are moving completely on ST2 but TPs will remain same on ST2 . So no significant changes will be noticed in STB. 11483 (H) & 11483 (V) may be used for HD channels . And Rest all may be used for SD channels

When is ST1 coming to its life end?I hope D2H has made a deal to get 2 TPs on Gsat.

ST1 life is ending very soon may be in June or July. BTW, channel addition didn't happened. Hopeless technical team .

No additions even now. Everyday the expectations build up throughout the day & it fizzles out by 12:30-1 AM! Even ASCI doesnt seem to do anything here!

ASCI would be keen to take action but they wud be wondering abt the rules . God knows if this kind of policy to stop DTH operators exist or not ?
