New channels soon in DD DIRECT+

Free-to-Air channels generate revenue from ad's.
While DD Direct+ charge 25 Lacs for carriage fee required for maintainence of transmission. While Pvt operators get this expenses from customers.
Previoulsy DDD+ charged 1 crore, but all pvt channels were probably refused to pay and opted out, and may be only after reducing carriage fee, channels like Zee Smile/Music & Star Utsav returned to DDD+

What do you mean by that ?

Earlier the carriage fee was to the tune of Rs1 crore, but when most of the private channels expressed their inability to pay the amount, with some of them willing to quit DD’s DTH, it was brought down to Rs25 lakh.

Yes you are right & I agree with it. But what I mentioned was the original fact & concept about Free & Paid DTH service. About carriage fee by DISH/TATASKY is that now many channels are forcing this Pvt DTH operators to carry their channels (recall TOTAL TV case against TATASKY), so this may be trick by TATASKY/DISH to make (not so popular) channels to pay to be onboard on this platform
