New connection of Trib Unlimited 512 Kbps rs. 999/- DOWNLOAD SPEED PROBLEM

But its not max 512 kbps(may be up to 2 or 4 mbps).
I verified from call center this plan should give me 256 kbps and after this month it will give me 512 kbps DL speed.
I asked for 2 mbps Unlimited plan(240-260 DL speed) they suggested 512 Unlimited which will give me DL speed of 480-512 kbps.

Can anyone help me? I'm on Combo 999, 1Mbps plan.. I booked New MTNL landline + broadband on 4th October'2010. Landline was installed on 8th Oct & Broadband on 11th October. Ever since my broadband was installed my speed is 450-500kbps & not on 1Mbps as per my plan. The line rate for downstream is on 572kbps under modem status. I called 1504 numerous times .. Just i get is reference number but nothing has been done.. I emailed to A.M. (Nehru Place) on 18th Oct regarding this,still no avail.. CAN ANY1 TELL ME HOW TO GET 1Mbps INSTEAD ?P.S. I stay at Dayanand Colony(Lajpat Nagar-4).. NEHRU PLACE EXCHANGE

contact the Broadband GM and go to the MTNL exchange there and uski jhatt phad.... tell him to get your like stats checked... (the nehru place exchange is always ****ed up)

1. It was better if you had started a fresh thread for your problem rather than posting in a thread that was a year old.
2. Make a lot of noise when you call MTNL. Sound like you are upset and irritated that you are not getting what you paid for. Then the CC will give you the phone numbers of the people who really matter. You will have to go through a few layers of people like server room people, line cable people, etc. but if you persist for a week or so your problem will be resolved. Don't give up. Be persistent but polite. As customer you are king and I have found that there are some decent people in MTNL who respond positively.

Finally now I'm getting the speed according to my plan. 1Mbps.. earlier it was around 490kbps..

Had to visit Nehru Place exchange.. it took me 45 mins to find the right person in exchange.. going from here & there.. this building to that building..

I now understood if there is any issue,their call center(1504) sucks.. all promises are fake.. Best way is to visit exchange & get the work done then and there itself..

I had to take 1st half off from office to do this.. These SARKARI BABUS seriously

Still i'm keeping AIRTEL Broadband for a month if in case !
