New Firmware for Dlink 502T router

hey guys thanks for the reply. I thought i'll upgrade the firmware to get the latest s/w fix in..... no issues till now as such so essbee do u think i should not do it???? my version is V2.00B01T01.ML.20050530
 
Well upgrading the firmware is a delicate process and u maybe left with an expensive door-stopper if messed up.
 
If it isn't broken, DON'T FIX IT! ;)

Like the guy above said, it's a last resort.

It's always a good idea to get any firmware update directly from the vendor. The 502T is obsolete. They don't even have it listed on the website anymore.

Also, an update wouldn't necessarily add new features, it just fixes a few bugs. Would be nice to know what bugs are being fixed before running the update.

D-Link is not marketing it in India anymore. It is sold in Europe and Australia New Zealand these days.

para two : it is always advisable to download the manuals
etc for future ref, if no installation CD is available./or misplaced
Also Instructions to recover from a bad FW update is also given.
If the version is unsuitable it will be rejected.
ALL FW updates are carried out at USER's OWN RISK.
